The Midwest Multicultural Association (MWMA) is a volunteer-driven organisation that promotes and celebrates cultural diversity across Geraldton and the wider Midwest region of Western Australia. Since 2008, we’ve brought people together to share culture, language, food, and traditions, helping to create a welcoming community where everyone feels they belong.
MWMA runs a wide range of activities that connect people and build understanding. Our major events, the annual Harmony Festival and Festival of Lights, attract thousands to Stow Gardens each year. We also offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, support cultural groups, and create opportunities for learning and exchange through projects like Tastes of the World. Whether it’s celebrating through music and dance or supporting newcomers, we’re here to strengthen community ties.
The Midwest Multicultural Association thrives because of community support. By joining as a member, volunteering, or partnering with us, you help create events and programs that bring cultures together and strengthen our community.
Behind every event and program are the people who make our community so vibrant. Explore the cultural groups, flags, and stories that reflect the diversity of Geraldton and the Midwest.
