Committee, Stage Manager

My father migrated from Yorkshire and my mother was from Perth. My parents moved to Geraldton, purchased land in Tarcoola and developed housing lots, started Tarcoola Caravan Park and Ernie’s Roadhouse (now Caltex).

Although born in Geraldton I spent some time in Perth before returning home. My two children have Mauritian, Australian and English heritage and grew up in Geraldton.

Now 2 of my grandchildren are doing the same, and 3 are living in Perth. I work full time in training, community services, mental health and youth work as well as volunteering with MWMA.

For many years I was involved in belly dancing and am currently dancing with the Natya Indian Classical and Bollywood group.
