Charmaine Trezona
I am from West Pakistan and migrated with my mum and dad at the age of 10 years, with my older sister, 11years and baby sister, 22months, to Western Australia in 1974.
We left Pakistan due to the difficulty of being Catholics in the country. The travel from home to school and back got harder as we had to be escorted, as it was getting dangerous in day-to-day living.
We arrived in Perth and took the next plane to Kalgoorlie, where we lived for a few years.
My Mum taught me at a young age, and my love of cooking still continues.
